From the start, the Austrian family-run traditional company Jomo has made it its mission to sweeten life with sweet baked goods and create moments of happiness. The initially small traditional bakery specialised early on the production of cakes and sponge swiss rolls.
Marble cake and cocoa swiss roll have always been bestsellers and remain among the most popular Jomo classics today.

We produce in Austria – for over 60 years
Initially located in Klosterneuburg, our production site has been at the current location in Leobendorf near Korneuburg, just outside Vienna, for over 50 years.
Here we combine traditional recipes with the latest technology to bake the best Guglhupf, cakes, swiss rolls and slices. All Jomo baked goods are produced in Leobendorf.

Our success story – a few historical highlights
1963
Founding
of Jomo
Jomo was founded in 1963 by Johann Mock in Klosterneuburg as a small but fine cake bakery. With his artisanal business, he specialised in the production of cakes and sponge swiss rolls. The range was gradually expanded; cakes and swiss rolls still form the core segment today.
1974
Move to
Leobendorf
In 1974, a move to a larger production facility became necessary. Since then, JOMO has baked its specialties exclusively
at the current production site in Leobendorf.
1976
Fully automatic production line.
In 1976, Jomo commissioned Austria’s first fully automatic cake production line. This step gave Jomo a decisive technical lead over competitors. It enabled the company to begin a partnership with the entire Austrian food retail sector and build nationwide distribution.
New modern
facilities
Continuous growth made a significant production expansion necessary, so investments were repeatedly made in ever larger and more modern facilities,
such as one of Europe’s largest sponge cakes and swiss rolls production lines or a central palletising system for fully automatic handling of trays and cartons.
2005
IFs Certificate
In 2005, Jomo was certified for the first time according to the “International Featured Standard” (IFS) Foods – at a higher level. Since then, annual certification of the entire company has been a matter of course for us.
2019
New look for the traditional brand
In 2019, the Austrian traditional brand Jomo shone
with a new, modern logo. This was a strong and forward-looking step towards a new corporate identity. In the same year, Jomo was one of the
first production companies in Austria to receive the GS1 Sync Star
Award – an accolade for high quality in data security and completeness.
Jomo receives awards
With the “Award for Long-standing Product Quality” and other awards from the Food Test Centre of the DLG (German Agricultural Society), we have repeatedly demonstrated our focus on consistent quality assurance and careful production.

Our core segments are bundt cakes, sponge cakes, swiss rolls and slices. We stand for state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, a broad range, high availability and excellent value for money.
